EUROPA 2017 (Castles) stamp set on cover from Albania

The Albanian Post (Posta Shqiptare) was the last European postal administration to put into circulation this year, on November 18, 2017, its EUROPA series (1 stamp, 1 souvenir sheet, 1 booklet) devoted to the theme of Castles ("Kështjellat" in Albanian).
There are many fortifications still visible today in Albania, the oldest dating back to about 3,000 BC and were built after under the Roman Empire (when the country was part of the province of Illyria) and then between the 4th and 6th century AD until the Middle Ages.
Most of these castles were later conquered by the Ottomans who restored or enlarged them, some of them being important tourist attractions for Albania (Berat, Durres, Shkodra...).

It is a part of this Berat castle (Kalaja e Beratit), dating from the Illyrian era and rebuilt in the 13th century, which is in the spotlight on the EUROPA stamp (200 lekë, print run: 155,500) and the numbered souvenir sheet (250 lekë, print run: 5,500), designed by Gentjan Gjikopulli, used to frank this nice letter sent by registered mail on November 20, 2017 from Tirana. Thank you very much Sabri!
